The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) wishes to advise subsistence farmers receiving Presidential Employment Stimulus Checks (PES) of the decision to suspend all implementation of the PSE effective immediately until further notice. The department reviews, reorganizes and redefines the implementation of the ESP, to meet all the challenges encountered.
It is regrettable that the department has received endless complaints from ESP beneficiaries and the South African community at large, regarding various challenges related to ESP implementation. These implementation challenges cannot be left unattended, hence the ministry’s decision to temporarily halt current implementation.
Beneficiaries are further advised to check their mobile phone messages from time to time as sent by the department.
The department had issued production input vouchers to support subsistence producers, as part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Program (PES) in South Africa.
