Bihar minister says he is ‘the Sardinian of thieves’ in agriculture department – ThePrint – ANIFeed

Kaimur (Bihar) [India]Sep 13 (ANI): Raging in controversy, Bihar Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh has claimed that there are many ‘thieves’ in his department and he is the ‘sardar’ ( chief).

The government minister of Nitish Kumar further claimed that there are also many other Sardars above him.

Addressing a public meeting in Kaimur, Singh attacked the coalition government led by Nitish Kumar in Bihar.

“There is not a single wing of our (agriculture) department that does not commit acts of theft. As I am the head of the department, I become their Sardar. There are many other chefs above me too. The government has changed, but the style of work has remained the same. Everything is as before. »

He alleged that the Bihar State Seed Corporation embezzled around Rs 200 crore in the name of aiding farmers.

“Farmers who needed to grow good quality paddy do not take paddy seed from Bihar State Seed Corporation. Even if they take it for some reason, they don’t put it in their fields. Instead of relieving farmers, seed companies are stealing Rs 100-150 crore.

Without naming, Singh further attacked Janata Dal (United) MLA of Chainpur and Minority Affairs Minister Mohammad Jama Khan saying that the latter had once served as a government minister but the condition of the people in the area had hardly exchange.

“Now there are two district ministers. Even after that, if the situation does not change, then what is the point of becoming a minister? The Kaimur district is full of corrupt officials.

Notably, Bihar Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh had earlier entered into the ‘rice diversion’ controversy.

Sudhakar Singh is the son of Rashtriya Janat Dal (RJD) State President, Jagdanand Singh, a prominent ruler of Bihar. Sudhakar Singh is an MP from Ramgarh seat in Buxar.

There are allegations of rice scam while he was a minister in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet in 2013.

After Singh took office as a minister in the new government of Magagathbandhan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked the coalition government over it.

“They should see the court order on the matter. Allegations are always made but not always true. The scam, if it happened, happened under their rule. Why didn’t they take it back then? Singh said on BJP taking it for rice scam case against him. (ANI)
