DDC Rajouri conducts a thorough review of the functioning of the Department of Agriculture

Rajouri, August 19: On Friday, Rajouri District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal reviewed the performance of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare at a meeting of concerned officers held at the agriculture bureau compound. .

The meeting was attended by Director of Agriculture, Sohan Singh and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, the SDC carried out a comprehensive review of the implementation and achievements recorded under the agricultural sector schemes by the department.

The meeting reviewed the achievements recorded under the Capex Budget, PMDP, MIDH, Beekeeping Development Program, in addition to issuance of Kissan Credit Card (KCC), soil health and number of farmers benefiting from PM Kissan Sanman Nidhi.

The DDC has instructed field staff to complete the e-KYC, NPCI of PM Kissan Sanman Nidhi beneficiaries within a limited timeframe.

Asking to complete the goals under different programs within a limited time, he insisted on reaching out to the last man in the queue.

Mass awareness among the farmers on the various social protection programs implemented by the Department in the district was also highlighted. He asked officers to educate farmers on the benefits of these programs and motivate them to take advantage of them. He also insisted that relevant officers make field visits to get real-time feedback from farmers.
