The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of students who completed full-time Levels 2 and 3 courses in Agriculture, Land Engineering, Horticulture and Professional Floristry.
Martin McKendry, Director of CAFRE, gave special thanks to Victor Chestnutt (former outgoing President of the Ulster Farmers’ Union) who inspired the students in his speech and presented special awards.
During his address, Martin McKendry congratulated the Level 2 and Level 3 graduates. He said: “Today marks a milestone in your academic career. The qualifications you have achieved are just a stepping stone on your knowledge and learning It is essential that you continue to keep up to date with new technologies.
“Even if you think your studies are over for now, you have to stay open-minded. Be open to developing yourself and improving your skills and qualifications through higher level study or continuing professional development. CAFRE is there to support you every step of the way.
CAFRE offers education programs to nearly 1,900 students. The courses range from level 2 to Master. Applications can be made now for courses starting in September 2023. Course and contact details can be found at www.cafre.ac.uk
