Jordan hails Egypt’s experience in agricultural sector

CAIRO – September 29, 2022: “Jordan supports the Egyptian experience, and any new Arab experience in the agriculture sector, amid the repeated crises in the region and the world, in particular the recent Russian-Ukrainian crisis “Jordanian Agriculture Minister Khalid al-Hanifat told Egyptian state news agency MENA.

The Minister hailed the initiatives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi to develop fields for the improvement of agricultural land.

Hanifat told MENA that Egypt is now reaping the benefits of this experience, stressing that his country is keen to cement cooperation with Cairo in agriculture and other areas.

Egypt and Jordan have agreed to draft a joint food security action plan to be activated within a month, according to the statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism. supply, published on July 24, 2022.

The statement revealed that the new plan will be implemented in cooperation with the private sector, adding that the two countries agreed to activate the Memorandum of Understanding on the operation and development of the Jordanian-Egyptian logistics zones.
