The Department of Agriculture distributed tillers and other inputs under various government programs

At a reception held Thursday at the premises of the Agriculture Subdivision Office in Koliabor, the agriculture departmentNagaon has ceremoniously distributed tillers and other agricultural inputs under various subsidized government programs sponsored by Union and State governments, including RKVY, BGREI and NFSM.












Debajit Neog chaired the event, which was attended by District Agriculture Officer Tarun Hazarika, Deputy Commissioner, Koliabor Subdivision (Civilian), Trishna Ripon, Deputy Deputy Director of Agriculture, Dr. Bipul Sarma, and SDO, Agriculture, Koliabor Ranjan Deka.

During the program, the relevant department delivered tillers to three beneficiaries: Modan Chauhan, Suma Mura and Bhaskar Jyoti Bora, in that order. In addition, the authorities of the concerned department have delivered different agricultural inputs as well as seeds of current season crops including maize, vegetables, black gram, green gram and others to more than 200 farmers in the subdivision.

Nagaon District Agricultural Officer Tarun Hazarika spoke at the event and urged farmers in the district to take advantage of government funded programs so that the community can contribute to the development of the rural economies of the state and the country.












On Wednesday, the relevant department handed over subsidized tillers and other agricultural supplies to farmers under various programs at the agriculture subdivision office in Raha.

Earlier, in a solemn ceremony held at Tamulpur Subdivision Agriculture Officer’s office at Tamulpur district headquarters, tillers were delivered to selected farmers in Tamulpur district under the National Food Security Abhijan (NFSA).

Executive member of the Department of Agriculture Ghanshyam Das of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) distributed specially designed tillers for bodoland Farmers of the Territorial Region (BTR) within the framework of the NFSA device in order to double the agricultural productivity of the supervisors.

Ghanshyam Das added that tillers have been provided to some selected farmers in Tamulpur district as part of this. Executive committee member Ghanshyam Das said more tillers will be given to farmers later. Under the NFSA scheme, tillers were sanctioned for a total of 49 farmers in Tamulpur district.












On March 9, MP for Tamulpur, Jolen Daimary visited Tamulpur Subdivision Agricultural Officer’s office and officially started the distribution of tillers to eight farmers. On Friday, BTC executive member Ghanshyam Das delivered tillers to ten farmers. Today’s tiller distribution event also included BTC executive member Dharmanarayan Das and MCLA Hemant Kumar Rabha.
