Srinagar: Kashmiri Director of Agriculture Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal at a senior officials meeting today reviewed the physical / financial progress of the implementation of centrally funded programs and the Capex budget.

On occasion, the wise plan / district spending on various centrally sponsored plans has been examined.

The Director stressed the importance of efficient and timely use of funds for the welfare and welfare of the farming community.

He said that every penny allocated should be used for the development of the agricultural sector and for the benefit of the farming community. He also asked the officers concerned to immediately submit the certificates of use on all schemes.

Iqbal put pressure on the agents of the departmental farms to make efforts for the optimal use of these departmental assets.

“The department will have to make 2.90 crore of seedlings available to the farming community over the next season and as a team we will overcome this challenge,” he added.

The meeting discussed the progress of the implementation of centrally sponsored programs including PM Kissan, Soil Health Card program, beekeeper registration on Madhu Kranti portal, new FPO registration, etc. details and instructions on various matters have been sent to the officers concerned.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director of Agricultural Extension, Deputy Director of Agricultural Inputs, Deputy Director of Agricultural Farms, Deputy Director of Beekeeping and Mushrooms, Deputy Director of Agricultural Engineering, Director deputy of marketing, deputy director of planning, all general managers of agriculture and other senior officials of the department. .
