UDHAMPUR: The Department of Agricultural Production and Farmers Welfare has organized the webcast of the transfer of 10th tranche benefits under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana by the Prime Minister here at the office conference room of Agriculture Sub Division, Kallar Udhampur.
The event was chaired by Agricultural Extension Officer Shiv Parshotam Jyoti.
Occasionally, farmers have been advised to obtain the eKYC of their PM-Kissan accounts as soon as possible to enjoy the benefits of this program in the future. Additionally, the farmers in attendance were briefed on the various SSC programs being implemented for the development and upliftment of the farming community and to achieve the Prime Minister’s vision of doubling farmers’ income by 2022.
Farmers already benefit from various centrally sponsored programs, such as SMAM, in which farmers can obtain from the government. assistance to improve their mechanized agricultural inputs, KCC, Kissan Mandhan Yojana in which farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 can make small investments to take advantage of retirement benefits after reaching the age of 60.
Farmers were educated on the benefits of adopting composite farming to improve their socio-financial status and the benefits of organic farming. They were introduced to mushroom cultivation and beekeeping.
Varinder Mohan (Udhampur Sub-Division Agriculture Officer Technical Officer), Area Chiefs of all areas of Udhampur Sub-division, Jr. Agricultural Extension Officers, Assistants agricultural extension workers from various Panchayats as well as farmers from various Panchayats were also present on the occasion.
