RALEIGH — Agricultural events are planned near Bladen County at several locations, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said in a statement.
The department regularly announces the seasonal events provided to it.
Fall will bring a number of corn mazes, fruit picking opportunities, pump fields and festivals. A more comprehensive list is available on the ministry’s website at
• Clinton: Twiddle Dee Farm offers a “farm membership” program. Activities for adults. Visit twiddledeefarm.com for more information.
• Clinton: Twisted Vines Vineyard offers free picking through October. The Grape Escape is September 11 from noon to 6 p.m.
• Clinton: Sampson County Farm Day is Oct. 30 at the Sampson County Agri-Expo Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for all ages.
• Raleigh: The State Fair is held from October 14 to 24 at the State Fairgrounds. Activities for all ages. The website is ncstatefair.org.
• Fuquay-Varina: The Naylor family farm has a corn maze and a pumpkin patch. Activities for all ages. The website is naylorfamilyfarm.com.
• Fuquay-Varina: Willow Oak Farms offers pumpkins, farm stand, tours, field trips. The website is willowoakfarms.net.
• Garner: Kenny’s Corn Maze opens in mid-September and lasts until November. Activities for all ages. The website is kenskornycornmaze.com.

• Morehead City: The Seafood Festival takes place from October 1 to 3 in Morehead City. Free admission, rides, music, games. The website is ncseafoodfestival.org.
