New Delhi, Aug 16 (PTI) The government is focusing on developing technology and infrastructure in the agricultural sector. This will create employment opportunities for educated young people in the villages. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said so on Tuesday.

Tomar said in the closing program of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) lecture series that it will not only create employment opportunities but also benefit farmers and find sustainable solutions, enrich farmers and modernize farming. .

The series started on March 17, 2021. In it, a total of 75 lectures were given by various experts, scientists, policy makers and successful entrepreneurs etc.

Tomar said in his lecture that the Center has initiated many projects to provide full support to the agricultural sector and that this work is progressing with the cooperation of state governments.

He also mentioned that until the elixir of independence, Indian agriculture would be at the forefront of the world.

He said the government was working to increase technology application in the agricultural sector. At the same time, infrastructures are created in each village. This will create employment opportunities in the agricultural sector and attract educated youth to the villages.
